SG Lewis, a multifaceted artist known for his roles as a singer, songwriter, DJ, and producer, quickly ascended in the electronic music scene. His early residency at Liverpool’s Chibuku Club propelled him to a Virgin EMI signing, collaborations with artists like Nelly Furtado, and electrifying performances at festivals such as Coachella and Printworks. His unique blend of deep house, synth-pop, funk, disco, and alt R&B has garnered consistent support from BBC Radio, including an Essential Mix and numerous “Hottest Records in the World” accolades.
In 2024, SG Lewis launched Forever Days, a label and event brand dedicated to releasing music “strictly for the dancefloor” and creating “euphoric moments.” The label has already seen success with tracks like ‘Back Of My Mind’, ‘Simple Times’ with DJ Seinfeld, and collaborations with Chloé Caillet and Loods. The Chinois event marks another step in Forever Days‘ global mission to share its distinctive sound.
Joining SG Lewis for this special night are four exceptional artists, each bringing their unique energy to the Chinois decks.
Glaswegian talent Denis Sulta, with his renowned Sulta Selects label and party brand, has carved out a significant presence in melodic house. His masterful productions have earned him covers on Mixmag and DJMag, a “best DJ” award, a BBC Radio 1 Residency show, and performances at iconic venues like DC10, Berghain, and Amnesia. His three Boiler Room sets alone boast over 5 million streams, a testament to his captivating sound.
Australian sensation Luke Alessi, a solo artist and one-third of the Not Without Friends outfit, stands out as one of the hottest names in dance music today. He has received widespread acclaim and support from industry heavyweights such as Jamie xx, The Blessed Madonna, Bonobo, and Chris Stussy. His impressive catalog of tracks includes a new collaboration with Chloé Caillet, already being hailed as a potential summer anthem. Known for infusing genuine energy into his sets, Luke Alessi promises a dynamic experience at Chinois.
Underground star Storm Mollison draws from her London-born, Florida-raised background to infuse her sets with a compelling fusion of Chicago house, disco, and UK Garage. She has graced stages at prominent venues and festivals, including KOKO, Glastonbury, and fabric, with consistent radio support from BBC’s Jaguar and Tom Ravenscroft, and a “Beatport On Our Radar” nod.
Adding to the vibrant mix is David Jackson, an artist whose releases span across Forever Days, Sulta Selects, and EMI Records. His track ‘Up Up Up’ evokes a classic 90s house piano vibe, while ‘Broken Heart’ leans into an 80s disco and funk feel. Expect an undeniable injection of energy when David Jackson takes to the decks, completing a lineup that promises a thrilling and diverse night of music at Chinois Ibiza.
