As the late September sun sets over the Mediterranean, the island's energy shifts towards those highly anticipated closing parties. Yet, amidst the rush of late-season events, a fresh release has just caught our undivided attention. Sophie Lloyd has officially unlocked the vault of London Records to deliver London Revisited. This stunning new EP brilliantly bridges the gap between rare vintage cuts and today's vibrant dancefloors.

A Masterclass in Respectful Reworks

When an iconic label hands over the keys to its extensive back catalogue, the pressure is undeniably intense. Known for her standout hit Calling Out and her flawless classic house credentials, Sophie Lloyd took this challenge head-on. She bravely bypassed the obvious pop chart-toppers. Instead, she unearthed hidden soul and dance gems from the label's rich history to introduce them to a brand-new audience.

It was literally a DREAM project working with a label as iconic as London Records and being given the privilege to access their enormous back catalogue. It filled me with a huge amount of excitement but also much trepidation as I wanted to get it right.

That deep respect for the original artistry shines brightly through every single beat. Take the reimagined version of It's Alright by East 17. Instead of just adding a heavier kick drum, she transformed it into a soaring gospel house anthem. Featuring powerful new vocals by Sarah Ikumu, the track absolutely begs to be played under the club lights. Earning the sincere nod of approval from Tony Mortimer himself proves that this uplifting update hits all the right notes.

From Subtle Tweaks to Jacking Energy

Not every track demands a complete overhaul to find its place in 2026. Sophie Lloyd applied a beautifully subtle touch to Do You Dream by Carlton. She carefully retained the beloved original drum stems, layered in a fresh 909 bassline, and added classic Triton string pads. This approach gave the track a modern sheen while respecting its original soul. Conversely, More! More! More! by Carmel evolved through heavy studio experimentation. It became a jacking, vocal-loop masterpiece that captures the raw, sweaty energy of a true underground rave.

Then we have the irresistible Sexual by Maria Rowe. Like many dedicated clubbers, our favourite house selector first fell in love with this track via the legendary 1995 remix by Graeme Park. This fresh 2026 edit successfully channels that exact same late-night sexiness. It feels perfectly tailored for a brand-new generation of house music lovers.
